Earth Day 2013 at Garden Station in Dayton

Join West Central Ohio Beekeepers Association on April 20, 2013 at Garden Station in Dayton, OH as we recognize Earth Day 2013 by helping educate the public on the important role of the honey bee and the basics of beekeeping. 

Garden Station is a not-for-profit organization, art park, and community garden in downtown Dayton, OH located at 4th and Wayne.  The Earth Day 2013 festivities scheduled for Saturday, April 20, include a full day of workshops, activities and information to help you live more sustainably.  Scheduled workshop topics include gardening, composting, seed starting, beekeeping, solar panels, making your home more energy efficient, recycling, homemade paper, kids crafts from recycled items, tree planting, local organic produce, organic non-GMO seeds and plants, yoga, food coops, and CSA signups.

WCOBA will present a beekeeping workshop to attendees and host a booth sharing information on ways to help pollinators, the role of honey bees, and the basics of beekeeping. More information on Garden Station's Earth Day 2013 activities can be found HERE.
